Why Do I Go To Church?

 

 

Do I go to church because it is Sunday and that is what I have always done?

 

Do I go to church to get “credit” from God or my denomination?

 

Do I go to church because I see my friends there (and they see me)?

 

Do I go to church because of the programs, coffee bars, counseling services, etc. that are offered?

 

Do I go to church because of a loud or modern-style music program?

 

Do I go to church to be entertained?

 

Do I go to church because the preaching never offends me?

 

Do I go to church because the preacher always makes me feel good about myself?

 

Do I go to church because the denomination agrees with my social and political views?

 

Or, do I go to church to be spiritually fed by sound, biblical preaching?
