The Problem of Self-righteous Titles within the Episcopal Church

It is sad how modern religious leaders, including those within the Episcopal church, have used self-appointed titles to usurp God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Psalm 111:9 reads, "He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name." I Timothy 2:5 reads, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." The biblical definition of priests as officiates all relates to Old Testament fraternities. It describes those in positions of mediation. According to scripture, they are to stand as a representative to God for the people and offer sacrifices for their sins. Leviticus reads full of these priests fulfilling their pre-Calvary roles as mediators and offers of atonement. And, this was how it was supposed to be. Moses is the prime example. Did he not mediate between God and sinful man on numerous occasions? The New Testament also writes of these types of priests. But remember, they rejected Jesus as the Messiah. If scripture nullifies the need for mediator priests today, it is found written in I Timothy 2:5 as noted above. Is this not more comforting to the hurting sinner? Jesus Christ is the only mediator. Sinful man cannot mediate for sinful man! Why is this so difficult for the Sunday church-goers to grasp? Are they not being taught? Are they not searching the scriptures themselves to see?
