Jim Bakker Keeps Deceiving

Jim Bakker continues to be an embarrassment to evangelical Christianity.  And it is does not say much for legitimate prophecy conferences to have him on their stage.  According to the End Time Headlines e-newsletter taken from Charisma magazine (November 12, 2019), he is stating that God “spoke” to him personally about something that is already written in the Bible.  When will people understand that he does not understand the Word of God. He further states that “God gave him a revelation of future events such as 9/11.”  Two points to be made: 1) God does not give extra biblical revelation that is outside of the completed word of God, i.e. the Bible; and, 2) if Jim Bakker did have a revelation/news flash about 9/11 then why didn’t he warn America and be a hero?  If he knew that was going to happen but did not do a thing about it one can say that he is guilty and responsible for those deaths. The truth is, he did not have any revelation then and he does not now. The article continues by saying that he is soon “to announce more revelations” that he, personally, has received from God.  And, I suppose, he will reveal them after they have happened!

 

Certainly, he is not the only charlatan out there but like the others, he needs to study the Bible and preach the gospel instead of revealing late revelations and scare tactics on innocent, yet deceived, people.
